My dear Mum & Dad
I wrote you a long letter (8 pages) during the last few days but understand that all letters now have to pass the censor, so I will forward it later on, & I had also written a long letter to Floss.
I hope you are all very well including the animals.
We are not allowed to say how far we have got, the name of the vessel, or, in fact much at all, & I shouldn’t be surprised, in the face of the recent war news, if my previous letters have not even now reached you.
